Seed Pods
Each pod has a unique gentle rattle when shaken and a comfortable place for a thumb to rest. They are intended to be held and are inspired by childhood explorations and travel in Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean. Each seedpod is fired up to 1000degrees and then wrapped in compost - banana and/or onion skins, old tea bags, whatever I can lay my hands on - and sprayed with oxides. They are then fired in a "dustbin firing" in the garden, each creating its own individual patina.
